Monofilament synthetic fibers can be woven very precisely to create industrial textiles with narrow pore distribution. This precision weaving process creates fine mesh woven fabrics with apertures (hole sizes) as small as 50 micron.

Thread Count of a fabric refers to the number of threads per inch. Warp threads run lengthwise in a fabric. Weft or filling threads run across the width of a fabric at right angles to the warp. Since monofilament fabrics are produced with equal yarn diameters and equal thread counts in both the warp and weft directions, the mesh opening is square.

Note: Woven Plastic Mesh is typically shipped in roll form wound on cores to prevent creases. Occasional flaws that can affect the continuous roll length are inherent in the weaving process.
